RosMel's Harvest Moon (Clarwood Joy Ride x RosMel's Moonflicker)
2003 Section A Welsh Pony, Black Roan
Harvest Moon is a very striking pony with a Spanish look and a mischievous
temperament . She has good ground-covering gaits, but with quite a bit of
knee. She was bred in 2008 to Odilon JIM for a February 2009 foal.

The Promise MisIzzie (Penrhyn Puccini X Walgarth Mischief )
2004 Section A Welsh Pony, Dun
Izzie is very true to breed type and is an incredible, bold mover with very little
knee. She is very correct and is big bodied. Her sire is a Supreme Champion
in hand and her dam has very old and desirable bloodlines. With her golden
body, black points, and a blaze face, she is very flashy, and every boy on the
farm is in love with her. She has a keen intelligence and a confident, placid
temperament. She is expecting an April 2009 foal by Odilon.

A few years ago, my friend—Grand Prix rider and trainer extraordinaire—Nancy Fair, mentioned to
me that the dressage sport pony market was growing and suggested I look into it. Through
another contact, Lucy Meyer of Royal Equus Farm in Taylor, Texas, I learned about the famed
RosMel Welsh Pony Farm in Richmond, Texas.
I became very intrigued with the idea of trying to produce a Spanish cross sport pony, and in
2006, I purchased two beautiful and athletic Section A Welsh mares from RosMel—a 3 year old
mare, Rosmel's Harvest Moon, and the 2 year old The Promise MisIzzie. I intended to breed
Harvest Moon to my PRE stallion, Odilon in 2006, but Harvest Moon surprised me and Rosmel by
already being in foal. She delivered a filly in February of 2007 which I named Blue Fire Moon's
Wimberley.

Blue Fire Moon's Wimberley (?? X Rosmel's Harvest Moon )
2007, Welsh Pony, Registered as Half-Welsh
As mentioned above, Wimberley is the product of a stealth breeding of
Harvest Moon to an unknown colt at the RosMel farm. I was not able to verify
her sire except to rule out all of RosMel's stallions currently at stud.
Wimberley appears to be a pure Welsh but taller than her dam, so my
assumption is that her sire was a Section B Welsh since the majority of
Rosmel's ponies are B's. Wimberley is a very nice filly, and I've decided to
keep her to see how she develops.
